Police, EMS respond to report of a pedestrian hit by a train

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Louisville Metro Police are on the scene of an incident involving a train and a pedestrian, according to Metrosafe dispatchers.

It took place just before 8:30 a.m. Thursday, near the corner of Hill Street and Preston Street. Dispatchers tell us a pedestrian was hit by a train, and that homicide investigators are on the scene, as is EMS.

According to Louisville Metro Police spokeswoman Carey Klain, the pedestrian was taken to the hospital with a leg injury.
