Two suspects plead not guilty in connection to Shepherdsville hotel murder

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A man and woman faced a judge Thursday in connection to a fatal shooting at a Shepherdsville hotel last week.

Kevin Ward was arraigned in Bullitt County - via video - on murder charges.

He is accused of killing Travis Lyn Steiger, whose body was found in the parking lot of the Super 8 Hotel on July 10.

Ward's bond was set at $1 million, and he was ordered to have no contact with the victim's family.

Kennedy Ridenour was also arraigned after police say she lied about information important to their investigation.

She is charged with hindering a prosecution.

Ridenour was ordered to have no contact with Ward.

A not guilty plea was entered on behalf of both suspects.
