Cause of death released for mother, daughter found dead in Clarksville apartment

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- We now know the cause of death for a mother and daughter found dead in their Clark County apartment in the spring.

The bodies of 67-year-old Annette Morrison and her daughter, 47-year-old Sheilon Morrison, were found in an apartment complex in the 1500 block of Byron Drive, a little after 10 a.m. on May 20 during a welfare check.

A home healthcare provider called police on May 19 when no one answered the door. When officers arrived, they found the bodies of both women inside the apartment they shared.

After an autopsy was performed in May, Clark County Coroner Terry Conway said the results were "inconclusive."

On July 17, Conway released a statement saying Annette Morrisson died from a brain infection, and her daughter, Sheilon, died from bleeding on the brain. There's no cause for either condition.

Police say they do not believe foul play was involved.
