SHEPHERDSVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) - A veteran once stationed at Fort Campbell in Kentucky is fighting for his fellow veterans while he battles cancer.

Justin Fitch is back home in Wisconsin with family, now in the last month of his life in his fight with cancer. He has been raising money the last two years, but his campaign has taken off as he pleads for help.

In two weeks, he's raised $295,000 on this Go Fund Me page. The money will help develop the Active Heroes Retreat Center, a free military family retreat center in Shepherdsville. Right now, there is enough money to build two cabins, but $4 million is needed to finish the site.
