New U of L program helping veterans to become entrepreneurs
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Helping veterans to become entrepreneurs is the focus of a new program at U of L.
The new initiative is offering free grants to veterans who want to start their own business.
The "VetStart" program meets once a week from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. in Louisville.
Participants in the 10-week program receive one-on-one mentoring, start up training and money for eligible start up expenses.
The deadline for applications is August 14.
Classes are set to begin in September.
