LMPD says four people hurt in two separate weekend shootings
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Louisville Metro Police spokesperson Carey Klain says a total of four people were shot during two separate weekend incidents.
Police responded to a report of a shooting around 11:45 p.m. Saturday in the 500 block of Dr. WJ Hodge Street, near West Muhammad Ali Boulevard, according to Klain.
Officials say police arrived and found a male who had been shot in the arm. Police say a second male victim, who fled from the area after being shot in the back side, was located at 20th and Chestnut Streets.
Klain said both victims were taken to U of L Hospital to be treated for non-life threatening injuries.
A second shooting happened early Sunday morning in the area of 12th Street and Cedar Court, Klain said.
Police with LMPD's 1st Division responded to the scene around 5:10 a.m. Officers found a male who had been shot, according to Klain. Emergency workers transported that victim to University Hospital.
Klain says another victim in the second shooting arrived at Jewish Hospital with a gunshot wound, and was then taken to University Hospital. Both victims from the second shooting suffered non-life threatening injuries, according to Klain.
Authorities have not issued suspect information in either shooting.
Police are continuing to investigate both shootings.
