4 arrested on drug charges during traffic stop in Madison, Indiana

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) – Police in Madison, Indiana arrested four people when they found drugs in a car during a traffic stop Wednesday evening, according to a release.

Indiana State Police troopers got a tip that a man wanted by Madison Police was in the area and stopped his car on Clifty Drive.

State Trooper Robert Hutson said criminal indicators led him to call for a K-9 unit to search the car. Troopers found methamphetamine, scales and other drug paraphernalia in the car.

Caleb Wilking, 22, was arrested on felony escape charge, along with counts for dealing meth, possession of meth, obstruction of justice, trafficking with an inmate and possession of a hypodermic needle.

According to police, Wilking was charged with trafficking when he was found with a gram of meth inside his underwear while in jail.

Marketta Abbott 21, was charged with dealing meth, obstruction of justice, possession of paraphernalia and visiting a common nuisance. Abbott also got additional charges when officers found meth on her while she was being booked into jail.

Jeremy Mikesell 28, was driving the car and was charged possession of meth, obstruction of justice, possession of paraphernalia and visiting a common nuisance.

Robert Renecker 33, was charged with dealing meth, possession of meth, obstruction of justice, possession of paraphernalia and visiting a common nuisance.

All four were taken to the Jefferson County jail.
