LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A Louisville man has been arrested after authorities say he was caught using a Craigslist ad to contact someone he thought was a 15-year-old for sex.

According to an arrest citation, it happened Wednesday evening.

Authorities say undercover investigators placed an ad on Craigslist -- and 33-year-old Ashish Ashok Parekh responded. An undercover investigator communicated with Parekh over the Internet, telling him that they were 15 -- and Parekh allegedly asked to meet the investigator to engage in sexual relations.

Authorities say Parekh told the undercover investigator to meet him at a location on Flat Rock Road, near Long Run Park, and then proceeded to drive there. Parekh used the Kik Messenger app and e-mail to communicate with the undercover investigator, according to the arrest citation.

He was arrested at the Flat Rock Road location shortly after 6 p.m. and charged with engaging in the prohibited use of an electronic communications system for the purpose of procuring a minor or peace officer for sexual offenses.
