LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Tragedy happens at the circus when a packed tent collapses in severe weather in Lancaster, New Hampshire.

A father and his daughter were killed and over 30 others were hurt.

The tent collapsed when a storm hit with 60 mile an hour gusts and hail.

There was a severe storm warning for the area.

The Fire Marshal said the circus should have been watching the weather.

They're also taking a closer look at the tent.

"The investigation will involve the documentation of the scene, which includes mapping out the scene as to where things are located after the collapse and examining the actual set up of the tent to determine how it was set up and all the cables, where they were connected and things of that nature," said William Degnan, the state fire marshal.

About 100 people were inside the tent at the time of the collapse
