LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Two parents are charged after police say they locked three young children in a room with dirty diapers and sharp objects.

An arrest report shows Ashley and Shaun Horlander of Sellersburg locked their children in a room at night to keep them from eating and making a mess.

During a welfare check, officers allegedly found the kids sleeping on the floor with only a pillow, and they say there were cockroaches, human and cat feces, and loaded guns in the home.

The parents are charged with Neglect of a Dependent and Criminal Confinement. The kids are temporarily staying with their grandparents.
