Bardstown Police chief gets statewide award

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- The Bardstown Police Chief has been named Top Cop.

In a ceremony Wednesday night, Chief Rick McCubbin was named the Kentucky Association of Chief of Police's 2015 Chief of the Year. 

Chief McCubbin was named Chief of the Bardstown Police Department in 2011. McCubbin started his career with LMPD and then was appointed a U.S. Marshal by President George W. Bush. 

This award comes from nominations from fellow officers.
