LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- The Yum! Center wanted to make sure those kids heading back to school had the necessary supplies so it launched its summer plaza event series Saturday by hosting the "Supply a Dream" Block Party.

It's part of the PATH Foundation's program which stands for Preparing, Assisting, Teaching and Helping. Hundreds of kids got free school supplies and food.

The Yum! Center says its a way to give back to the community.

"We think school is so important and providing school supplies for kids in need is really important to us," the KFC Yum! Center's Sandra Moran said. "It's important for parents to bring their kids here to just support their education and support their kids and show them a really fun afternoon."
