LOUISVILLE, KY. (WDRB) – Kentucky running back Stanley “Boom” Williams sprained his knee during practice Monday but according to head coach Mark Stoops, the injury isn’t serious.

Stoops did say Monday his running back might need to miss a couple days of practice to heal up.

Williams, a sophomore, is the favorite to be the team’s starting running back. He’s currently battling with junior Jojo Kemp and sophomore Mikel Horton for the job.

Williams had 486 yards rushing, 162 yards receiving and six touchdowns as a true freshman last year.
