SAN JUAN, P.R. (WDRB) -- U of L may have fallen to the Puerto Rico Junior National Team Tuesday night, but guard Trey Lewis says the Cards are ready for a successful season.

"We’re stepping into this ready to go from day one," Lewis said. "I think you can see that. We’re just ready to play. It might be a shock to a lot of people."

Lewis says there is good reason to hope that this year might not be a rebuilding season after all.

"We know what Coach wants," Lewis said. "He wants to win. He wants us to be the best that we can be. Every day we’re talking about that, we’re talking about how we can become better."
