LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A Louisville man has turned himself in after police say he intentionally drove his car through a garage door, pinning two of his roommates to the wall.

According to an arrest report, it happened at a home on Iowa Street, near Taylor Boulevard, at 4 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 12.

Police say two men were in a garage at that location, when 22-year-old David Prewitt, Jr. drove his SUV through the garage, hitting the doors and pinning the two men to the wall.

Both victims were injured, according to police, and one of the men suffered life-threatening injuries.

Prewitt's vehicle was recovered later in the day, and one of the victims said they had known Prewitt for over 10 years.

Prewitt turned himself in at 3:30 p.m. and admitted to his actions, according to the arrest report.

He was arrested and charged with first degree assault.
