Fisherville Post Office set to reopen Monday after treatment for brown recluse spiders

Posted: Updated:

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- The Fisherville Post Office is set to reopen Monday.

The post office closed in April because of safety concerns after brown recluse spiders were found inside the building.

Customers had to pick up their mail at the Eastwood Post Office about three miles away.

Officials say during the closure, there were countless pesticide treatments and some exterior patching. Now the Fisherville Post Office has been deemed safe by its maintenance department.
