Kentucky took care of a roster in need of big men Thursday by adding a big man. As expected 7-foot Australian Isaac Humphries reclassified to the class of 2015 and will join the UK men’s basketball this season.
Humphries was ranked 43rd in the class of 2016 according to 247Sports. 247Sports says Kentucky now has the best recruiting class in the nation.
Humphries attended high school in Indiana. He also played for Australia averaging over 18 points in FIBA’s under-17 Championships.
“I watched Isaac when he first came over to the United States in high school in Indiana and was impressed with his skill and size,” Calipari said in release from UK athletics. “He’s very skilled, has great hands and is a great passer. “
Humphries is expected to start classes at Kentucky next Wednesday.
