LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Louisville Metro Police say they've captured two men who stole $1,200 worth of lottery tickets from Speedway.

According to arrest warrants, it happened on July 30 at the Speedway gas station at 4239 Poplar Level Road.

Police say surveillance video captured 22-year-old Cody Adams and 22-year-old Anthony Hollandsworth driving onto the parking lot of the Speedway in Adams' vehicle.

The warrants state that Adams stood as a lookout, standing outside the manager's office and walking around the store, while Hollandsworth walked into the manager's office and pulled four packs of unopened lottery tickets from a safe.

Hollandsworth allegedly hid the tickets on his person and the two of them walked out of the store.

The store reported the incident to police.

According to the arrest warrants, police not only looked at surveillance video from the Speedway involved in the incident, but also at surveillance video at another Speedway at 1422 Poplar Level Road. Police say that surveillance video shows both men at that Speedway 40 minutes after the theft, scanning lottery tickets at an official Kentucky Lottery kiosk.

Police say they recognized both men from prior incidents.

Arrest warrants were issued for the men on Aug. 19, and they were taken into custody on Aug. 20. Both men are charged with theft and unlawful access to a computer.
