LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) - It was a day to celebrate the success of more than 100 students in the Code Louisville program.

The free 12-week training program prepares people for the rising number of computer software coding jobs.

Students in the May 2015 class were recognized Saturday at a graduation ceremony

The mixer also allowed students to meet with technology employers across Kentuckiana.

"Going through a program like this really refreshed me, got your confidence boost back up, and got you ready for the field," Heather Guin said."And honestly, initially I was wondering how cutting edge it would be. But they've done a brilliant job."

Back in April, President Obama visited Louisville and talked about the program.

Code Louisville organizers say the upcoming September class is already full with 217 students.
