LACETT | Wildcats rebound with unscheduled second Saturday practice

Posted: Updated:

LOUISVILLE, KY. (WDRB) –  Following a miserable scrimmage Saturday morning in which head coach Mark Stoops declared the team took “a step back”, the Kentucky Wildcats managed to take a giant step forward Saturday evening.

Kentucky held an unscheduled second Saturday practice with far different results. Afterward a number of players took to social media to report on what had happened.

Junior Quarterback Patrick Towles tweeted, “Most fun I’ve ever had at a football practice in my life. Love y’all”

Fellow QB Drew Barker agreed tweeting, “Best practice I've ever been apart of! You can't make this stuff up!!"

UK opens the season two weeks from Saturday at home against Louisiana-Lafayette.
