2 women stabbed early Sunday in downtown Louisville

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) - Two women were stabbed early Sunday morning in downtown Louisville.

LMPD spokesperson Alicia Smiley says it happened around 2:30 a.m. near the Econo Lodge at 2nd and Liberty Streets.

Two women from Cincinnati were approached by a black male, who at some point stabbed both of them.

The women fled on foot to 4th and Liberty Streets, where police were ultimately called.

They were transported to University Hospital, but they're expected to be OK.

The suspect is still at-large. He's described as a black male who may have been on a bicycle.
