LANE | American Pharoah Draws Post 2 in Travers

Posted: Updated:

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) --  Triple Crown champ American Pharoah is the 1-5 morning line favorite for Saturday's Grade One Travers Stakes at Saratoga.  The Bob Baffert-trainee drew post two Tuesday.

Frosted was made the second betting choice at 6-1 from the six hole.  Last year's Breeders' Cup Juvenile champ Texas Red is 8-1 from post four.

A field of ten three-year-olds will go the mile and a quarter.  American Pharoah just put in his final work Saturday, going seven furlongs in 1:23 and one-fifth seconds.

Here's the full field for the 146th running of the Travers.
