LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) – A Louisville man has been arrested for child porn charges, according to a release from Kentucky State Police.

State Police Troopers from Elizabethtown, with LMPD, arrested Jeffery Martin, 45, Thursday morning. Martin has been the subject of an investigation since the KSP Electronic Crime Branch discovered him sharing child porn online, according to the release.

Police searched Martin’s home on Aug. 27 and seized equipment suspected to have been used in the crime.

He has been charged with 20 counts of possession and eight counts of distribution of matter portraying a sex performance by a minor. Maritn is being held in the Louisville Metro Corrections. Each charge is punishable by up to five years in prison.

A not guilty plea was entered on his behalf Friday morning.
