LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Louisville Metro Arson officials arrested a man authorities say intentionally set a fire inside a home.

James Vinson, 33, was arrested Sunday evening at U of L Hospital. Police say Vinson admitted to setting a fire on Sunday morning inside an occupied home in the 4000 block of South Brook Street, near East Evelyn Avenue.

The official report states that Vinson admitted he put lighter fluid on toilet paper and set it on fire in an upstairs closet inside the home.

Authorities say Vinson "also lit fire to paper that was taped to a stick that he then carried throughout the house."

Investigators say at the time the fire happened, there were three adults inside the home. Officials say two of the adults were disabled and unable to get out of the house on their own.

Officials say Vinson also admitted that he had used meth and consumed alcohol before setting the fire.

Vinson is charged with arson and wanton endangerment.

He is being held on a $50,000 cash bond.
