LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Louisville Metro Police say they've arrested the suspect who shot a man in the chest, leaving him hospitalized and on a respirator.

According to Louisville Metro Police spokesman Dwight Mitchell, the shooting happened on Wednesday, Aug. 19, in the 5200 block of Yew Lane, in a subdivision south of the intersection of East Indian Trail and Unseld Boulevard.

An arrest report states that 37-year-old Sean Duncan, of Charlestown, Indiana, shot the victim -- a man -- in the chest.

As of Aug. 28, the date of Duncan's arrest, the victim was at University Hospital with very serious injuries. Police say he was unable to talk, due to being on a respirator, but he was able to pick Duncan out of a photo pack and write out his name.

Duncan was arrested on Shepherdsville Road, near Rangeland Road, on Aug. 28, just before 11 a.m.

He is charged with first degree assault and tampering with physical evidence.

Duncan is being held at Louisville Metro Corrections on a $75,000 cash bond.
