LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- An early version of a classic tune has been found here in Louisville.

An early rendition of the "Happy Birthday" song has been discovered at the University of Louisville.

The only known manuscript of Louisville native Mildred Hill's song "Good Morning to All" was recently uncovered at the Dwight Anderson Memorial Music Library.

The words evolved over the years and eventually became known as "Happy Birthday."

Papers belonging to Hill were donated to the library in the 1950s, but were never catalogued.
