LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Louisville Metro Police say they've arrested a man after he kidnapped a child at gunpoint.

According to an arrest report, it happened at the corner of S. 35th Street and Riverpark Drive, shortly before 4 p.m. on Tuesday.

Police say they were sent to the area after multiple callers said they saw a white male, wearing a tan shirt, khaki pants and a black hat point a gun at a black male, then take a child from him.

In the process, police say Bullock placed a gun at the adult victim's chest, and waved the gun next to the child's head.

When officers arrived, they said they saw 85-year-old Burdett Bullock trying to drive away with a child in the back seat.

Police stopped Bullock and placed him under arrest.

According to the arrest report, Bullock was an acquaintance of the victims, but "had no right to exercise custodial control or supervision of the child."

He was arrested and charged with kidnapping of a minor, as well as two counts of first degree wanton endangerment.

His motive for taking the child is not explained in the arrest report.
