LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- First responders are showing their support for police officers nationwide.

The Lafayette Township Fire Protection District in Floyd County has placed blue ribbons across fire trucks.

It's part of the social media movement called "Sea of Blue."

The blue ribbons will stay on the fire trucks until after Labor Day.

Organizers started the national "Sea of Blue" movement after police officers were killed.
