LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) - The Kentucky Exposition Center's West Hall is filled with felines this weekend.

The Kentuckiana Cat Club is taking over for its 54th annual Championship and Household Pet Cat Show.

More than 100 cats and 30 different breeds are competing, including the Bengal, Persian, Burmese and Siamese.

They're judged on everything from their color and coat to the size and shape of their head and body.

"It's very competitive," said Carol Barbee with the Kentuckiana Cat Club."Usually when there's a small number, only the best cats come. So sometimes it's very, very tough decisions."

There's also a vendor area with cat jewelry, grooming supplies and furniture.

Cat lovers can even get professional pictures of their pets taken.

The event runs again Sunday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
