Families gathered for fun and games at Southeast Christian Church Labor Day picnic

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Games, inflatables and even pony rides were all part of FamilyPalooza at the Southeast Christian Church campuses Monday.

The Labor Day carnival was open to the whole community.

Organizers say they expected about 20,000 people to show up at the church's Blankenbaker campus and another 10,000 people each at the Oldham, Indiana and new southwest campuses. This is the eighth year for the family event.

"Families just are looking for stuff to do," children's pastor Steve Young said. "On the heels of the fair and back to school time, just to have a free event for our community, we just want to say we love you to our families."

All of the games and activities were free and hamburgers, hot dogs and pizza were just a dollar.
