LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A Louisville woman has been arrested and charged with criminal trespassing and DUI after police say she drove through a fence at Louisville International Airport.

According to a criminal summons made out by the Louisville Airport Police Department, the alleged incident took place at 3:30 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 5. Police say they were dispatched to the corner of E. Woodlawn Avenue and Crittenden Drive, on airport property, after someone reported that a vehicle had driven through the airport fence.

When they arrived, police say they found a grey 2006 Chevy vehicle that had gone completely through the fence. The vehicle's flashers were on and the driver had left the vehicle, according to the summons.

Police say the driver was 29-year-old Shayna P. Holcomb. They eventually found her walking down the fence line, looking for a way out. She allegedly told officers she had consumed a few alcoholic beverages before driving and did not see that the intersection dead-ended into a fence.

She also allegedly said that after the accident, a FedEx truck driver tried to stop her and she got scared, causing her to run from the scene.

Louisville Airport Police charged her with second degree criminal trespassing. Jail records also show that she was charged with DUI and leaving the scene of an accident.
