LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- With New York Red Bulls II's 2-0 loss at FC Montreal Wednesday night, Louisville's point total keeps them safe in second place in the Eastern Conference.

City is now set to host their first playoff game at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 3 at Louisville Slugger Field.

The playoffs are single elimination and Louisville's first match will be against the winner of USL Eastern Conference's three seed vs the four seed. A win in that game will earn Louisville a trip to the USL Eastern Conference Championship.

Tickets will be available Thursday, Sept. 10 at 12:00 p.m. with season ticket holders' seats reserved for them until Sept. 20.

Louisville's first season has been marked by a number of successful factors, with City second in the league in average attendance at over 6,000.

Star striker Matt Fondy has nabbed four Player of the Week awards en route to breaking the USL record for goals in a single season.

Louisville City takes on Charleston Saturday at 7:30 p.m. at Blackbaud Stadium in South Carolina.
