Posted: Updated:

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Two Jeffersonville schools will get a share of $8 million in improvement grants.

Parkview Middle School will get about $1.2 million over the next five years to improve student performance. Bridgepoint Elementary will receive about $650,000.

The federal grants were awarded to schools that show a commitment to raising achievement levels in low-performing schools. The money must be used for one of six federally approved school improvement models.
