LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A southern Indiana church that dates back to the Underground Railroad is getting some major upgrades.

Today, new doors were dedicated and blessed at the Town Clock Church on East Main Street in New Albany.

The church, also known as the Second Baptist Church of New Albany, is being restored by the Friends of the Town Clock Church. In addition to the new doors, the current tower has been restored, stained glass window repaired, and the steeple was replaced.

The goal is to raise $480,000 to finish the outside of the church. So far the group has raised more than $395,000.
