LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A Kentucky firefighter who died after an accident at Campbellsville University was honored on Friday.

Tony Grider was shocked last August after helping with an ice bucket challenge at the school. He and another firefighter were hurt when the bucket lift they were in made direct contact with a power line.

Grider died about a month later.

On Friday, his name was added to the Johnny Edrington Memorial in Campbellsville, Kentucky.

His family was in attendance to unveil his name and speak to those in attendance.

“We just wanted to take a minute and tell everyone how thankful we are for all of y'all, everything that you've done. The honor that this is for Tony is so awesome,” said Gena Grider, the widow of Tony Grider.

The memorial honors emergency service personnel and those killed in the line of duty.
