LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Emergency crews responded to a report of a JCPS school bus in a ditch on Taylor Boulevard, near I-264 west, according to a MetroSafe dispatcher.

A call about the accident was received just after 8:30 a.m. Monday.

The bus involved in the accident was bus #1074. There were 28 students on board the bus.

The bus was headed to Schaffner Elementary School.

LMPD spokesperson Dwight Mitchell said the bus hit an abandoned vehicle on Taylor Boulevard.

Six students are being treated at Kosair Children's Hospital, according to Mitchell. MetroSafe says it's believed that all the injuries were minor.

Officials say the bus driver was not hurt.
