LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Police say there were some tense moments at an area Big Lots Tuesday morning when a car crashed into the building.

According to Louisville Metro Police spokeswoman Alicia Smiley, the incident occurred at the Big Lots in the 3900 block of Taylorsville Road, near Breckenridge Lane, just after 11:30 a.m.

Smiley says an elderly woman was trying to park in the McMahon Plaza parking lot, when she accidentally stepped on the gas instead of the brake and drove into the window of Big Lots.

The elderly woman was uninjured, but was taken to Baptist Health Louisville for an evaluation, according to police. She was the sole occupant of the vehicle.

No one was injured inside the building.

The woman's vehicle, a 1996 Toyota Corolla Wagon, sustained severe front end damage.

No charges are expected.
