LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- You remember the sights, the sounds, the dreams. A September night under the lights. But Christy and Jeff Jenkins didn't think their son Kendall would be able to make those memories.

"You know football's a contact sport but he loves being around the guys and feeling part of the team," Christy Jenkins said.

You see, Kendall loves football and the St. Edward Braves are his favorite team. While his sister cheers, Kendall usually serves as the water boy. But not this game -- his team had other plans.

"We thought it'd be cool if he could score," one player explained.

The first play belonged to Kendall and his family.

"That's my little man," Jeff Jenkins said. "The St. Edwards Community -- I can't thank them enough."

It may have only lasted 15 seconds and Kendall isn't the first special needs child to have a moment like this. But it is a reminder of what can happen when we stop thinking about ourselves and instead about creating moments for another.
