LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet will be closing lanes at three locations this week for the purpose of cleaning up bird droppings, according to a news release from the KYTC.

The first closure will take place on Monday, Sept. 21, on Taylor Boulevard, under Interstate 264 (the Watterson Expressway). Taylor Boulevard will have one lane closed in each direction. Cleaning will also take place on northbound Southern Parkway under I-264 with the right lane closed.

On Tuesday, Sept. 22, the crew will work on southbound Southern Parkway and on both directions of South Third Street under I-264.

The final location for lane closures is KY 22 under Interstate 265 (Gene Snyder Freeway). Cleaning at this location is scheduled for Wednesday evening, Sept. 23, according to the release.

"The date and duration of this work may be adjusted if inclement weather or other unforeseen delays occur," the release states.
