LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Louisville Metro Police say they've arrested a woman after she stabbed a man several times.

Linda Stone, 53, was arrested Monday afternoon in the 4300 block of Taylor Boulevard, near Lynnhurst Avenue.

According to the official police report, Stone got into an argument with the victim. Officials say when the argument became physical, Stone pulled out a knife and stabbed the man several times.

Authorities say the man was taken to U of L Hospital where he was "immediately taken to surgery to remove the knife lodged in his chest."

There is no word on the victim's current condition.

Stone is charged with assault and was scheduled to appear in court on Tuesday morning. She is being held at Louisville Metro Corrections on a $25,000 cash bond.
