Kentucky Humane Society asking area employees to take a 'Puppy or Kitten Break'

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- The Kentucky Humane Society is asking employees to take a "Puppy or Kitten Break" next month.

On Thursday, Oct. 1, KHS will celebrate the Community Foundation of Louisville's Give Local Louisville day by offering Puppy or Kitten Breaks at area businesses, according to a news release.

With a donation of $200 or more to KHS, the nonprofit animal welfare agency will bring a cuddly kitten or puppy for a visit to your workplace. KHS will also feature participating companies on social media.

"Everyone loves an office visit by a cuddly puppy or kitten," said Jeni Church, KHS Community Relations Coordinator, according to a news release. "And animals have a multitude of positive effects on people, including reduced stress."

To arrange a Puppy or Kitten Break for your office, contact Church at (502) 515-3147 or Reservations must be made with credit card information. All credit cards will be charged on Oct. 1 via the Community Foundation of Louisville. Spots are limited, so advance registration is required. Gifts are tax deductible.
