LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A Jefferson County grand jury has indicted a man accused of shooting two men -- one of them fatally -- earlier this summer.

It happened July 8 in the parking lot of a gun store on Valley Station Road, near Dixie Highway.

William Albright, the owner of the gun store, is charged with murder and assault in the first degree.

"I cant even imagine how that man could do what he did and not feel bad," said the victim's mother, Stephanie Pearson.

According to the indictment, Albright saw the two men struggling over a gun in the parking lot outside his gun store. While the men were struggling, two shots were fired from the gun.

"Then a guy came out from the gun shop, he was probably 50 yards away, and was yelling 'put the gun down!'" said Paul Schum, who witnessed the struggle. "Next thing you know, the guy at the gun shop apparently started shooting, 4 or 5 shots."

The indictment says Albright told the men to stop struggling and when they didn’t, he shot them several times.

"When a man can kill a man without any regard or any regret for the life he's ended, then he has lost his moral compass," Pearson said

Cameron Pearson and Kyle Pearson were both shot. Cameron Pearson died from his wounds.

"A piece of your soul is taken when you lose someone this close to you," Pearson said.

Albright is charged with murdering Cameron Pearson and assaulting Kyle Pearson.

Cameron Pearson had three young children.

"The hardest struggle is them asking questions and trying to help them," said Lindsey Childers, Pearson's fiance. "You go through this grieving process and then you have to try and help 3 little ones as well."

The grand jury has requested his bond be set at $35,000.

Calls to Hard Shell Tactical and Albright were not returned on Thursday.
