One man shot and killed in alley near 4th and Oak Streets
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Police are searching for suspects after a man was shot dead in Old Louisville.
It happened in an alley between South Third and South Fourth Streets near Oak Street around 9:30 Sunday night, according to LMPD spokeswoman Alicia Smiley.
Smiley says the victim was taken to University Hospital where he later died.
His identity has not been released.
People who live and work in the area are concerned about the violence.
"It's very bad, very terrible," said Leigh Suazo. "There's a lot of stuff happening in this neighborhood. I work over here. I wish it would be different, I wish it didn't happen, but there's a whole lot of stuff happening over here."
Detectives are searching for anyone who may have heard or saw something in the area.
This makes the 57th murder in Louisville so far in 2015; there were 55 murders in all of 2014.
