HILLVIEW POLICE: Louisville man found passed out in car with gun and drugs

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Hillview Police arrested a man authorities say was found passed out in a vehicle with a gun and drugs inside.

Jeremy Dunton, 33, was arrested just after 3 a.m. Wednesday at the the McDonald's on Old Preston in Hillview, according to the official police report.

According to police, an officer was sent to the restaurant on a call about a person who was possibly intoxicated.

Authorities say Dunton was passed out in the drive-thru of the restaurant.

Officials say an officer could see a weapon inside the vehicle. Authorities say a bag of what appeared to be crystal meth was also in plain sight. A meth pipe was also found inside the vehicle's console, according to the police report.

Police say more than $1,800 in cash was found in Dunton's right pocket.

Investigators say a blue backpack in the passenger seat of the vehicle contained 70 Sudafed pills, another bag of crystal meth and scales.

According to police, Dunton is a convicted felon.

He is being held at the Bullitt County Detention Center on a $50,000 cash bond.

Dunton is charged with trafficking in a controlled substance, unlawful possession of meth precursor, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a handgun by a convicted felon.
