LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Crews continue to make progress on Louisville's new cable-stayed bridge, the centerpiece of the Downtown Crossing portion of the Ohio River Bridges Project.

The new downtown bridge is scheduled to open to two-way traffic by January 2016.

Tower 4, the center tower, is the tallest at 280 feet. The tower crane is approximately 320 feet high.

The entire Downtown Crossing, including the new cable-stayed bridge, an improved Kennedy Bridge and interstate connections on both sides of the river, is expected to be complete in December 2016.
