Louder Than Life organizers hoping for fewer noise complaints this year

Posted: Updated:

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB)---Some of your favorite rock bands will perform in Louisville this weekend for the Louder than Life festival.

Last year was the first time for the event, which is held at Champions Park on River Road.

Setup has been going on all week.

Rob Zombie, Godsmack, and Lynyrd Skynyrd are just a few of the big names performing.

More than 50,000 people are expected to attend, and organizers say they are working to make sure traffic isn't as backed up for parking and that the music isn't too loud for people living nearby.

“We're working closely to make sure that we're not becoming a problem for these people, but at the same time, 70 percent of the people coming to this show are from outside the community, so they're gonna experience Louisville for the first time, maybe the second time," said Clay Busch, head of marketing for Danny Wimmer Presents. "

I hope this thing grows, because it is a great thing about the city. It's great for the community."

There will be four stages for the bands this year and more bourbon tents.

You'll also find 70 local vendors, gourmet man food, as well as on-site wrestling and autograph signings with WWE stars.
