JEFFERSONVILLE, Ind. (WDRB) -- Since 1995, Industrial Terrorplex has brought people of all ages to Jeffersonville -- but its days in southern Indiana are coming to an end.
"Jeffersonville's development plan, well, Industrial Terrorplex doesn't fit in that plan. And so they asked us several times to sell them the building. We ended up putting the building up for sale," said Industrial Terrorplex co-owner Terry Campbell.
New Hope Services bought the building with plans to develop it into an assisted living facility in the coming months, but are still a few weeks left to get your final dose of horror inside this creepy building, which was once a t-shirt factory in the 1950s.
"They say that a girl died here and that there are ghosts that roam this building," Campbell said.
There are four sections to this haunted house, and each one has a theme.
"It's all Hollywood-style props and we have over 100 actors. They're all really good," Campbell said.
He bought the haunted house in 2006 after selling Haunted Hotel in Louisville.
Campbell said the decision to leave Jeffersonville isn't an easy one.
"But we just don't have the buildings that look like this. We want to find a building that's old, that's scary and that may have a history of ghosts running around in it," said Campbell.
He now has his eyes back on Louisville.
"A big six-story old bourbon warehouse would be really nice too." Campbell explained.
But here in southern Indiana, time is running out.
"If you came here as a kid this is the last chance. This is the last chance to experience what Industrial Terrorplex here in Jeffersonville, Indiana, has to offer," said Campbell.
The last day for business at Industrial Terrorplex is Oct. 31.
