Donors replace broken windows at vandalized Baptist church

Posted: Updated:

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- When vandals hit a Louisville church, it ended up being a blessing in disguise.

Someone broke into the Sun Valley General Baptist Church in Valley Station last month and trashed it. The vandals broke windows, stole $500, and made off with the church's speaker system.

Donors have already replaced the stolen cash, someone has stepped up to replace the sound system, and today local company Compozit Home Systems replaced the broken windows.

"Not only are they replacing the one that was broken, they're also replacing the other smaller windows around it to make the whole bottom safe, which we're very thankful for," said Pastor Clay Collins. "It was a great, great help. They donated the time. They donated all the help."

LMPD officials say no one has been arrested yet.
