Coroner releases identity of victim killed in early morning crash in SW Louisville

LOUISVILLE, Ky (WDRB) -- We now know the name of the person killed in an accident in southwest Louisville early Wednesday.

Jefferson County Coroner Barbara Weakley Jones says the driver was speeding on Third Street Road near Arnoldtown Road when he lost control of his car and hit a tree about 1:30 a.m. on Oct. 7. 

20-year-old Ke'Von Ryan died at the scene of the crash. He was the front seat passenger and was not wearing a seatbelt.

The driver and the back seat passenger were taken to University Hospital but are expected to survive. 

Police are still trying to figure out what caused the wreck.
