LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Beer and pizza come together for a good cause with CRAFT 2015. This marks the first event with restaurants and breweries from across the area raising money for cystic fibrosis research. The event happens Saturday, October 10 from 7 p.m. - 11 p.m. at the 2nd Bridge Streetscape located on 2nd Street in downtown Louisville.
CRAFT 2015 is a grassroots event with some of the region's best craft pizza and beer into one incredible party in downtown Louisville celebrating the culture of a city and the fight for a cure. The event was the brainchild of three families: the Klausings, parents of Luke (8 years old); the Foushees, parents of Alex (2 years old), and the Sweeneys, parents of Samuel (11 months old)-whose children all have cystic fibrosis and who came together with the goal to create a unique event in Louisville to raise funds for a cure.
The evening will boast beer from over ten Kentucky breweries including, Against the Grain, BBC, Blue Stallion, Country Boy Brewing, Falls City, Flat 12 Bierworks, Goodwood, Gordon Biersch, Great Flood, Sterling, and West 6th. Guests can also sip on tastings from Four Roses and Horse Bend Winery. In addition to these local favorites, guests can expect to enjoy craft pizza from Angio's, BBC, Bearno's, Boombozz, Diorio's, Gordon Biersch, Hometown Pizza, Impellizzeri's, Johnny Brusco's, Johnny V's, Loui Loui's, Mellow Mushroom, Papa John's, Pizza Place, Spinelli's, and dessert from Spotz Gelato and the Sippin Tea Company.
Revelers can sample their way around some of the region's best craft pizza makers and breweries while dancing the night away listening to some great live music, all while raising money that will benefit the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. The money will go towards finding a cure for this life-shortening, tomorrow-stealing disease. During the live auction guests will be able to bid on all kinds of exciting items and experiences, including much sought-after floor tickets to University of Louisville and University of Kentucky Basketball Games, autographed memorabilia from My Morning Jacket, and a one-of-a-kind Bourbon experience with Liquor Barn's spirit expert, Brad Williams, for you and three friends.
Tickets to the event are $65. Tickets include food and drink samples. You can pre-purchase tickets by visiting www.craftlouisville.com or buy them at the door on the night of the event.
The event is being presented with support from Anthem. Additional event support comes from Argi, Bearno's Pizza, Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, Four Roses Bourbon, JAA, Liquor Barn, Republic Bank and Vivid Impact. Further support is provided in memory of JB Klausing. All proceeds from the event will directly benefit the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.

About Cystic Fibrosis
Cystic Fibrosis (CF) is a life-shortening genetic disease that primarily affects the lungs and digestive system. An estimated 30,000 children and adults in the United States (70,000 worldwide) have CF. Although cystic fibrosis requires daily care, people with the condition are able to attend school and work, and have a better quality of life than in previous decades. With the help of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, and donors like you, people with CF are now able to live into their 20s and 30s, and some are living into their 40s and 50s.
